FOR RELEASE: WEDNESDAY APRIL 15, 1998 MURRAY HILL, N.J. - Lucent Technologies' Board of Directors today declared a quarterly dividend of 4 cents ($0.04) per common share, payable June 1, 1998, to shareowners of record April 30, 1998. Lucent's quarterly dividend rate was 7-1/2 cents ($0.075) per common share prior to Lucent's two-for-one stock split on April 1. Today's action increases Lucent's dividend rate from 3-3/4 cents ($0.0375) per common share to 4 cents ($0.04) per common share after the split. The dividend will go to about 3 million shareowners....
