FYI
There is only one indicator for any of the outside people to use which has any merit. Debbie (new boss) comes from a strong company that she held a credible position at. She has now only been on this job with SYSF for a little over 4 months. There is a delay effect to all good news and bad news in either public companies or politics (among other things), so it is logical to conclude that she was aware of the baggage she was taking on when she decided to jump ship. She had to have known that there would be a turn around time which was at the very least many months.

My patience has been derived from this little guestimate of human psychology. The only thing I would like to know to confirm it, is more details of what the atmosphere surrounding her leaving the previous company was like. If she truly was in the driver's seat of that departure, and not someone who had failed to perform as they would have liked, who was given a "resignation" mandate... then it is safe to conclude she wouldn't attach herself to ANY situation she didn't have "insiders" faith of a turn around.

Stock options are ALWAYS part of any enticement to an exec's offer. I don't think she would consider working for a "new company" for only 6 months, then look for another job. I don't think she would consider the stock's value at her entrance in November of 97 worthy of her aspirations. It is my humble opinion, the reasonable time frame any exec is going to give for "reconsideration" of their move is at least 1 year. I think you'll see something cool happening before November '98 that at least doubles if not triples the current stock.
