Marcie: Funny you would mention G...I received a call two weeks ago from a NY boilerroom type broker. Gilette was going to make a major announcement (their new razor) and I had to buy that day at $124. Needless to say, I didn't. The PE of almost 50 scares me but I would agree it is a great company. I think I'll watch it a bit longer and see what fallout occurs from Tuesday's launch. There is a company here in St. Louis called Jones Medical (JMED) that I have followed but never bought. They buy and/or register expired patents on other drug company's products and then market them. The stock was a high flyer and recently has dropped a bit. But Smart Money Magazine, about the only financial rag that I respect outside of the WSJ, picked JMED a few issues ago. Without knowing too much about the company, I can tell you that the CEO is building a $9,000,000+ home here. Perhaps a good sign? Maybe not. I appreciate your response. I do know that you won't go wrong with ABT over time. But good luck anyway. Chip
