I agree with your Nextel = "Next Telephone". I posted that about six months ago. Also, one very important point that you made is about McCaw's vision: he is quoted in a special insert to the Washington Post called "The Wireless World" (last year) that he wants to bring telecommunications to the masses. He sees an unwired WORLD, with the masses communicating, having access to data, etc. Easy to conjecture how Nextel, Teledesic, NextBand, (and Smart Bandwidth?? :) ) could play into this.
I'd was going to say "Keep the Faith", but to see what's happening with Nextel doesn't even require that.
