Art, Another sign of a chip turnaround. <G> But TXN was smart enough to take the old writeoff the kitchen sink trick. Wonder if anyone fell for it this time? It kind of reminds me of Lucy pulling the football away right before Charlie Brown kicks it. Some day they will catch on.

One clarification is needed about the 5% chip sales growth this year. Is that part of the 20% a year they predicted from 1996-2000? Boy, is next year going to be a humdinger. <VBG>

Chip sales down 3%, but that was because of nasty memory. DSP up 7%. They don't mention that that was the lousiest quarter yet for digital signal processors as they head to zero and negative growth.
