re: It would be cost prohibitive for ISP's and telecoms to upgrade the Internet in consecutive increments (in terms of technological improvements), and they will seek to take much greater incremental leaps (surpassing the small leaps in between)to maximize their use of capital.

Do you follow QWST? It is coming much faster then you might think.

re: Users will not be satisfied with this slower, yet more cost effective approach, and will seek to capitalize on the small incremental leaps in technology by upgrading their hardware more frequently than the Internet is improved.

Humm, Well have to scratch my head a little, (not too much I don't want to cause anymore hair to fall out). I don't think the adv. joe realizes what the internet can do for them yet. So I believe PC buying habits and need for faster CPUs still will be software driven, with the internet as a surpise facilitator.

And you are right somewhat, there should be enough for those that embrace the shift away from a PC centric driven high tech market to a market that will be internet centric. At least this month anyhow. <ggg>
