If you truly believe that capacity/bandwidth makes the difference(and you are right) then the real players will be in the LMDS business. The LMDS spectrum encompasses 1.3GHz(6+ times that of MMDS), has potentially greater LOS opportunities due to repeatable cellular architecture and is two-way capable. The RBOC's and recently Comcast are fighting to be included in the upcoming auctions for these reasons(thus causing some delays at the FCC). MMDS was always an interim, get familiar with the 20% available LOS market, one-way video/data testing ground for the deep-pocketed BANX guys(remember VDT). The $100 million was just R&D money. Unfortunately, it is hard to know these things unless you have a grasp of the wireless MVDS realities. Check out LMDS.
