Some of the cost cutting may not bode as well as you think. They can be a two-edged sword. I was at a major corporation when they did not do a "Strategic" layoff and instead offered severance packages that was open to a large percent of the population.

The results were felt for a long time that the "Good" people who have the necessary skills left and found employment elsewhere or retired early while the "Not so Good" people stayed. Yes costs was reduced, but a whole lot of knowledge was eliminated as well as a reduction in productivity.

IMO, these are things just to keep in mind.
