RADARSAT Remote Sensing Study Completed
on Cikotok/Cikidang Project, South West Java, Indonesia

Atapa Minerals Limited is pleased to announce that it has completed a remote sensing RADARSAT study of the Cikotok/Cikidang project in Southwest Java, Indonesia. The Cikotok/Cikidang property covers an area of 101,400 hectares. Atapa has a minimum 51% interest in the Cikotok/Cikidang property under a joint venture with PT. Aneka Tambang, (the Indonesia state mining company), and PT. Oceanic Marine.

The RADARSAT study is a powerful mapping tool which provides an additional means of geological analysis. The resulting maps from the RADARSAT data to scales of 1:50,000 and 1:20,000, have an accuracy level of approximately 80% and provide a means of recognizing volcanic rock sequences and associated structural features.

In the Cikotok area the study has identified three major structures, one of which is a volcanic caldera, measuring approximately 10 kilometres by 5 kilometres. In addition, several major shear structures trending east-west and north-northwest, which are associated with precious metal mineralization, transect the bulk of the property.

Atapa's exploration team is confident that detailed follow-up of the RADARSAT study will identify and define new areas for geochemical sampling and drill testing. Currently, Atapa has five drills working on five of the fifteen prospect areas on the property.
