Yes, Eric S., the street is looking for change and thus far they are unconvinced about NOVL's future. What we need is a leader at the helm.
Whether that leader Bulls---s to the street about the potential gains for shareholders, he/she must do it right.

Frankenburg was slow and I too noticed that at several of his presentations. IT I believe are looking for that charming B. Gates look-a-like. A person who tells the world where it is heading.
Perhaps NOVL should run a contest to find a B.Gates look-a-like and that will prop up the stock 20% (human psychology plays a big role in the stock market for not everything is based on fundamentals as it should be).

Honestly, I still believe they need the help of a successful company to pull them out of this mess. NOVL has been unsuccessful at convincing users to migrate to NW 4.x and to forget about NW 3.x.
Without NW 4.x, they will be unsuccessful at selling any other product. Eric, are you aware that EVERY product sold by NOVL is dependent on NW 4.x ?

What we do know as published in various magazines is that 20% of existing NW 3.x shops have migrated to NW 4.x. This implies that only 20% of existing shops are potential IntranetWare costomers and that only 20% of existing NW 4.x shops are potential customers for Groupwise. But given that internet/intranet software is given for free , one should ask how much NOVL will benefit from this in 1997 ?

NOVL insiders know that Groupwise is not a key player in the groupware
market and especially among large corporations (Lotus Notes and MS Exchange are the leaders). Managewise is not a HOT product but a so-so product. Novel should get out of this business.

NW 4.x will determine the fate of NOVL looking forward. Keeping an eye
on NW 4.x sales is the key to providing the true fundamentals.

I will ask that anyone who does know to post NW 4.x sales by the month on this board.
