I think morality needs to evolve out of consensus

I must strongly disagree with this. My morality comes from me. I accept no consensus for that. I take full responsibility for it as well. It is an outgrowth of my rationality, not my acceptance of what others think or believe. Actually what you describe, evolving out of a consensus, is moral relativism.

Part of my process though does not recognize or accept absolutes, even it's own.
