Well Lisa--here was I thinking that we were on opposite sides of the political spectrum

We may be -- but I agree with you re the real issue when it comes to the Clinton/Jones/Lewinsky business.

This from one who voted for him and feel that all in all he is doing a good job

But the notion that the President would perjure himself, suborn perjury, obstruct justice and if any or all of this did happen, it really does not matter, just blows my mind.

I hear all this hullaballoo about how awful it is that Lewinsky's mother is forced to testify against her own daughter and yet there is no outcry about the fact that a mother is there encouraging her daughter to perjure herself and to suborn perjury.

Starr has done some dumb things but the president tolerating the type of attacks that his aides have subjected this prosecutor who after all was appointed at the behest of his own AG goes beyond the pale. It certainly sets up an MO for future administrations on how to deal with these type of investigations.

So, despite my views about Clinton and the fact that I voted for him, if there is credible evidence that he is culpable, then I hope that he is impeached.

And all of the above has NOTHING to do with his sexual proclivites -- I did not believe him when he did the 60 minute thing in 1992 -- but I did not feel that it had anything to do with his ability to run the country. I must confess that I did not think that he would be stupid enough or reckless enough, to do the same thing at the White House
