Yes, Penni, you have been liberated!! It FEELS good to express your opinions, and so for the very opinionated among us, this place is almost like heaven. I can express mine here, and then be entirely pleasant to my husband, who is pretty much uninterested in what I think about political and religious oppression through the ages. Of course, he is VERY interested in whether dinner tastes delicious, and the kitchen floor is swept and mopped, and that I remembered to pick my child up at school and make the bank deposit, so I have to get going soon. I have learned to move very quickly in that final half hour after I have squandered the day. Just don't open any doors or cupboards, or snoop through the trash for take-out containers!!!
Seinfeld is very New York--neurotic, self-absorbed and whiny. Now you know that if I consider someone whiny, he is really VERY whiny!! But he is an astute observer of life and people, and is fairly gifted to have pulled off such a successful show. In a way, all popular culture is a waste of time, however, junk food for the mind.
Stock market? My broker has not notified me of a margin call, and none of the companies I own went out of business today, although CAI Wireless is a little wobbly. So, nothing to worry about right now!!
Forget the laundry, but please write, Penni. I am so hopeful of reading your words in print someday soon!! |
