Dougjn, I've seen your posts elsewhere. You do good analysis, from what I remember.

I tuned into the cc after about 7 minutes and I recorded it. I'll go over it later and try to post my impressions here later this eve (PST).

My overall impression of the CC was good, not only for AWRE, but for ADSL's prospects. Here are a few points that I found significant:

1. Aware/Lucent Agreement: Chipset will be available this summer. Target is their "Wild Wire" product line. Only small revenues from the arrangement were posted this quarter, but I gather from what they said that it was primarily "upfront money paid for specialized engineering work". Royalties will come from deployment by Lucent of the chipset.

2. Sounds like they're working on some deals, especially with major OEM in Europe, but they're "not at liberty to discuss" the details at this time.

3. Product Sales: "best quarter thus far"

4. VERY IMPORTANT [my emphasis]: Sales are primarily from TEST QUANTITIES' revenues rather than DEPLOYMENT revenues. [My comment: In other words, by implication, once they get any deployment, revenues should jump as test revenues are quite small by comparison].

5. Question was asked about field trials with telecom co's:
ANSWER: "Are involved in field trials with in at least 15 countries - can't get into specifics"

Mgmt is optimistic about the momentum in the marketplace and prospects for DSL-Lite.

I'll try to fill in some details later, but have to get outside and enjoy the day (I'm on the West Coast).

Would appreciate if others could listen to the replay and give feedback.

My take on the CC: It sounds like Aware is well-positioned and clearly in a industry ripe for explosive growth. They're working with the right companies to ensure participation in that growth, plus they have a "leadership position in the UAWG which also gives them high visibility in the industry. Most investors don't even recognize the potential here because they don't understand the technology.
