Craig, if you think there is no barrier to entry in the search engine business you are in La La land. Could I start one? Of course not. Could Sun Micro? Easily. The biggest barrier to entry in any industry is initial capital expenditures. How much would it cost to start a search engine for Sun Micro as a percentage of their cash flow? Peanuts, would barley show up on the balance sheet. Microsoft obviously had little problem with Start, and they may have a dozen people or less putting it together. Brand name, attracting customers to the site? Microsoft, Sun Micro etc. have ad budgets that make the entire search engine sector combined look like a joke. You have been brainwashed by all the hype... Vinman
