The most interesting aspect of this post was the effort "Ira Goldenbloom" put into his little joke.

First the name he used, hinting a sophisticated New York investor. Next the breast-beating humility of the "My investment banker made me do it, I've seen the light" approach, hinting at access to inside information that corrected his previous stupidity. Then the punchline "the word on the street", coupled with the reference to the price the institutional investors may accept, attempting to add verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Good for a quiet chuckle, I suppose.
