Well Richard, I found out what is up....Ms. Wilson is out of the office again today but I talked to a legal assistant and got a few answers....The selling going on is a group of shareholders who bought the 144 stock at $5.87 a share....They are now dumping their shares on the market and taking profits...Wouldn't you if you had over 100% profit??? The selling is being being encouraged by low metal prices and the perception of the shareholder that platinum prices are in the dumps for some time to come....Plus end of year tax selling....I am going to watch this stock and may fill my position if we get down in the 13-14 area...Cindy told me that Stillwater had a lot of high volume in September when these shareholders first started dumping...
So she thinks that the selling is just about over....But she is going to do some checking for me with some other people in the office and will call me back yet today....It looks like the hedging program will be done by year end....Cindy is going to find out what the plans are for 97 with hedging vs...market price...Stillwater is going to increase production big time in 97...The Shaft for the mine should be finished by 1st quarter 97 and 2000 ton per day should commence...Hope I got this data right....Will post more later when Cindy calls me back...Regards, Mark
