I am glad that someone in your position joined the discussion.
I am not convinced that Ross can survives much longer by
selling upgrade CPUs and selling their own HyperStation. I
think the matter is not whether people will get the same
performance cheaper by choosing Ross, it is about trend
and brand name power. Cyrix produces chips almost as good
as intel and cheaper, but people go with intel. Now, Sun
has just announced new motherboard for fast building ultraworkstation
, which further hurts the business of Ross. If you
read the news about delay of releasing this quarter's
result of Ross, you will notice that Ross found "unexpected"
sharp decline of demand of their CPUs. With this trend, I
seriously doubt that Ross can do better next few quarters.
