Chaz,

Any comments on where the Internet would be today if private industry had tried to organize on a national network from scratch? Corporate America cannot even decide on a browser interface standard. Compuserve and MSN are what resulted from private industry trying to bring interconnectivity to the average man. Bill himself said the Internet was 20 years down the road (probably bundled with the NT 5.0 release); sure let's wait until MSFT can fit innovation into their business model rather then throw some coin at it a few decades ago and get moving. Industry only moves quickly under the pressure of competition, just look at the automotive industry for an example.

Cheers,

Norm
