For Type 2, I've used a scan in the past that was for W4 down and EWO pullback to 90%. Then I'd create pages of each hit and do an auto-rotate to visually scan, looking for those in a strong W4 downtrend. I saved the pages for those that fit Type 2 criteria, then worked out an entry for the ones that were left. Never did find a way to get closer than that. The problem was the number of failed W5 trades... moves that started out looking like W5, but which got renumbered as ABC. As is always the case, the best money managers are the ones that will make money.
