celebrate our nations first new transcontinental network in more
than a decade
IXC Communications (NASDAQ:IIXC) will demonstrate its new coast-to-coast fiber optic network - the first completed by any carrier in more than a decade - tomorrow in a live, three-city virtual ribbon cutting beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern from the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
To illustrate the networks high-speed, high-bandwidth multimedia capabilities, IXCs president and CEO Ben Scott will establish a live video link between the festivities in New York, the companys corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas and the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
