Thu 16 Apr 98 News Release
Mr John Graffin reports
Buffalo Hills, Alberta
The company is preparing to undertake a test drilling program on its 46,000
acre, 100% owned mineral permits in the Manning area of northwestern
Alberta. The company's project area lies to the west of the numerous
diamondiferous kimberlite discoveries made by Ashton Mining in the Buffalo
Hills area of Alberta.
The Big I permits underwent low-level aeromagnetic surveying and limited,
detailed ground magnetometer follow-up surveys during 1997. Such a large
number of apparently non-cultural aeromagnetic anomalies are indicated that
the company feels it should drill a number of them at this time to test for
the occurrence of diamondiferous kimberlites.
The program will include bedrock drill sampling. In the event that
kimberlite is encountered, casing will be set to the end-of-hole and
subsequent diamond core drilling will be undertaken.
The company is hopeful that this initial drilling program can be undertaken
before spring break-up occurs.
The company is arranging internal financing for the project.

Copper-gold project in the Babine Lake area outlines a 32 acre potential
porphyry target which requires drill testing.
Copper Mountain Syndicate, BC
Inferred tonnage with 1997 drill indicated grades of up to 0.9% copper;
0.05 oz/t gold and 0.01 oz/t platinum group. The syndicate is negotiating a
potential third party joint venture arrangement in this area.
