To all: Passed by one Telecom Engineer (involved in the evaluation of telecom hardware for the WAN) in the hallway and we had an interesting conversation on the investment front. Naturally, I bought up the topic on NOVL and how badly it has performed over the last three years. His opinion "They could have had this account if only they had made it more enticing for departments to migrate to NW 4.x. Their marketing people really screwed it up. If only they had offered this company a better deal to upgrade NW 3.x to NW 4.x one/two years ago. Most people in this company like NetWare and still do and are impressed by Green River. However management in this company sent their people blindly to Windows NT courses and here we are. NetWare stagnant and NT rising rapidly. So what are they doing ?" My response: They are holding a one day seminar for the company and hopefully you will show up. His reponse: "I will. When is MSFT holding their one day seminar ?" V.K My response:
