LesX. The majors are integrating security into the automation aspect of a building. ALYA stands alone as a discrete system. Such isolation is good and bad. So what happens is you get all manner of small bit players. the concept of central controlled security has been with us for 100 years, with manpower. Now they want to be able to control a large area with a central control, automating some processes to be done fully mechanically as long as the person has the eye or hand to fit to the security test point(the test point looks at the eye iris data base to see if that person is authorised, and the one only gate lets him in, no humans involved, but a video may be watching and be manned if two try to get past.
So automating security is not a unique and hard thing. If ALYA has got it done already they can beat out a player who has to invent it again.
So they can both give better quotes and lower labor costs. The upstart has a learning curve and ALYA tech can be wheeled to any site. There are others who can do it too though. I do not know their names, but a visit to a security industry trade show will have a number there. Go to the same trade show as ALAY and see how many are similar.
