Al: I'm blushing. Gosh, from a G-man no less.
>>"Fred Smart for office." We have had enough of dummies in office, even more dummies running big corporations. It's about time we had a Smart one in office. How's that Fred? Now don't forget to show up to give your acceptance speech.>>
Ok, here's my evening political/social evening soapbox acceptance speech just for you Al....
Ladies and gentlemen, denizens of cyberspace, lurkers, readers, jokers, kids, and friendly animals.... I want you all to know I make a habit of asking questions - while expecting answers to come to me almost unconsciously - and thinking BIG. When you do practice this kind of thinking at you are, by definition, "out of the box" because you aren't relying on ego for answers. The only thing ego gets you is trouble. Ego does create great comedy, however, which I have learned firsthand in my own life.
As for judging, this practice of thinking we "know" just limits our perspective. I like to think there is only one man who has that view and I'm going to let Him handle those details. Life is about taking risks, learning all the time, being humble, always giving back more and having fun.
The world like to judge - think in black and white, right and wrong. Then the ultimate downfall starts when we compare ourselves with others. That begins the downward cycle inside what I call the black box - you think you know, but all you do - with each iteration - is only refine the limitation of your view or understanding of whats out there - taken to the extreme, your understanding becomes opaque and the only way out is to have something bad happen which radically changes your life in such a way which gets you out of that box.
Thinking "outside" is very radical in this world. Few people know how to place you for the tracks you leave always confuse. That's called having fun. And I like to share it with others.
My Dad, who past away 1 1/2 years ago, smoke, liked his liquor, but was extremely positive about everything. Each day was an incredible adventure and he passed this down to us kids along with good nurturing love from my mother. I have left out the smoking and drinking, but I appreciate the full range of colors - diversity - among people, livestyles, etc.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I take these views seriously even while on this box. And now, as I climb down from the box, I would like to pay a special note of thanks to "Al" - here's "zapping" you good buddy. And for those who have been watching passively from afar may I pray with the greatest sense of hope that Nextel will eventually get under your skin. I intend to make Nextel into a great service oriented tool to add value to any equation that involves putting knowledgeble people - mentors, experts, psychologists, whatever - with those who need them. Stay tuned as we begin to use technology in all its shapes, forms and permutations to "Build a Better World".
Thank you and good night.
Al, now take care of yourself down there in sunny CA.
Good Luck! |
