Michael, as you predicted, the women have spoken strongly against violence. I hope you don't feel ganged up on (but what more lovely and charming women could you dream of being surrounded by, or something)!

I think the question of whether you were beaten is really an interesting one, and I hope you don't mind answering it, because I am curious, also.

Policemen are our law enforcement officers. I hope they would arrest anyone they saw beating a child. But I am more curious as to just what you think this would accomplish once a child has stolen a car. You work with runaway children--did any of them leave because their parents were extremely kind and loving? The runaways I've read about almost always leave because of violence in the home. What about the ones you know?
