sonki mrk, may be in low 110's - dont think we would see 90-100 area unless this market tanks big. mrk really hasn't gone anywhere since jan 1997 when it was at 99. while pfe & wla doubled. however, down the road in 1999 may be some drugs in the pipeline will become blockbuster drugs like pfe's viagra or wla's lipitor. (pfe co-market it with wla) take a look at icn - a nontraditional pharma - their main market is in eastern europe. however, they do have a promising hepatitis c drug coming out, which, if combined with sgp's hepatitis c drug, will be twice more effective. hepatitis c is a big problem in this country and the world. sgp will market the drug when it is approved expected second half of 98.
