RE: Institutional holdings

How often do the institutions report this number? I thought it was only the end of each quarter.

I'm not sure I understand the logic here. Why would they want to be holding the stock during this last drop? If they got in last year, while Institutional holdings were low, that would have been ideal. I thought the whole idea was to get in or out before the institutions or other institutions. Unless this is close to a bottom, it looks like some of them were holding the bag again--along with plenty of the little guys and me (at least my unhedged shares).

Of course next week, I'll probably be the one left holding but after the puts expire. I plan to place a limit of 1 1/2 on the 7.5 P for the morning, and take another look in the afternoon. So lets say a low of 6 1/8 for the day and close around 6 3/4--numbers from my a** but hopefully better than Rocky's. At least this was right before expiration. That premium was worth the peace of mind. Oh wish me luck, shorted AOL at $75--yikes.
