Hi Ron -

Sorry I missed your post last evening. I'm on a black and white screen at home, so after I've checked my "in" box once it becomes an amorphous white blob.

Did you get an energy transfusion while you were away? Man oh man, what a great post. Thanks for all of the information you posted and for your outstanding work.

First thing: although I did not explicitly state it in this post,

I DID explicitly ask Ms Burton whether the clusters extended onto Mahakem North and I can tell you with all certainty that I was told that indeed, they did, and further that IPJ was not aware of it at the time the block was aquired. Let's hope that all goes well with the COW. Despite the problems caused by Bre-x and the currency crises, there is apparently no shortage of interest in Indonesian exploration, both for minerals and oil, as evidenced by the fact that the Mahakem East and West cow's were included amongst some ~200 if I recall correctly. Anyway, it was a lot, and I think just the logistics of examining all of them likely account for some of the delay.

Also appreciate your asking IPJ to post the text of the April 20 presentation on their web-site. It would be to everyone's benefit for them to do so, and I hope they'll adopt your suggestion.

I'm going to read up on Kendeng. Appreciate your post on the thread re the additional financing. Perhaps we will see some work done. Barricks participation a major plus I think. The obvious conclusion is that ABX thinks they have a good shot at more than one world class discovery. And it also implies a certain level of respect for this mgmt group. Also, the recent rearrangement of the board to preempt any possible conflicts of interest suggests that some activity is imminent.

re copper, check this out if you haven't already:

This is just a peculiarity on my part, but I enjoy fishing in inclement weather conditions, and I like mining exploration in remote tropical jurassic jungle calderas that require heavy lift helicopters for access. Because in both cases, that is when the LUNKERS hit.

Of course, this is just a personal prejudice of mine ;o]

thanks again - Tom
