Mephisto,

I think the universe for data storage is expanding to eternity and I think SEG is currently one of the best suppliers of that capacity, such that I think ANY drop is overdone at the recent SEG trading range. I just can't buy into "the sky is falling" for computers. Even if U.S. sales are flattening, I believe its temporary. Even if you don't buy a new computer, you probably need to continue to expand your hard disk drive capacity. Computer sales overseas are still growing rapidly. Corporate America has a large amount of outdated computers, waiting for better versions of Windows NT before upgrading. Etc... What would really help is some exciting new memory intensive software applications. You know they're out there, you just don't know when they'll catch fire.

Short term, I think techs are still trash (or at least confused) - Thanks DEC. Long term, I still think tech (& esp data storage) rules. I also think the market is currently indiscriminately trashing the good with the bad. All that said, I think I would like to see SEG pull back a bit further before I picked up any more shares. Say ~$50.00. All of the above is studied but nonprofesional opinion.
