Moonray...thanx for the BRCM info., I've followed them, but not real close. IMHO the thread would benefit greatly if more focus were placed on following the development of xDSL. xDSL...ADSL in particular, is now at the threshold of the marketplace. xDSL will be deployed in a subdued fashion over time, unlike the rollout of 56K technology. If I were to start shopping for a 56K modem for a future purchase...I'd want one which is upgradable to xDSL.
