JCI techs! beware! Am I ticked off! JCI techs (JCI on ASE) has risen sharply yesterday and today, with no news on newswires or homepage www.jcitech.com. I called the HQ in Victoria, and found that there was a 'media announcement' about a press conference to be held Friday March 22 (regarding Microsoft and JCI). It seems to me that JCI told reporters that there would be a press conference, and that said reporters then either told friends or began to personally trade in this stock. It is a thinly traded stock and it rose from 1.40 to 2.20 in a couple of days. Lacking information, I sold at a slight loss. So beware. This stock will likely rise slightly again Friday, (perhaps to 2.60 or 2.80 or even 3.40) and then the sharks will move in, and it will decline once more (perhaps sharply.) Burnt and betrayed! Insider trading is illegal! Fred B.
