But a single LEO satellite does not cover the whole world.
It cover only a local region. This is why it has 66 satellite
instead of one. Simple line of sight.
You also assume that all calls are voice, what about data?
What is the time you spend on internet using the telephone?
Much longer than voice, isn't it?
