This news can be found at Intel's web site (www.intel.com). When you get to the site, search past news releases. The news is actually kinda old (Nov. 95 i believe) and that brings me to another point about Intel. It seems that Intel has good news after good news, but they are having trouble getting the word out to investors. In the last 2 weeks alone, they have had numbers of great announcements. Some of them include: 1. New ad campaign 2. MMX technology 3. New Ethernet switching hub technologies 4. Pentium overdrives 5. Announcement of an internet standard for audio&video transmition (this had some press, but only because it was in partnership with Microsoft). Intel has some serious trouble getting the word out to the press on what they are doing. At Microsoft, if Bill Gates sneezes, it makes business headlines worldwide. What is wrong Intel????? I called IR and asked why this was and they agreed that they have been lax getting the word out, but also that they wanted to downplay some of the announcements (such as the MMX technology) until the PPro is phased in. Seems to me that Intel doesn't get a fair shake from the press.
