Reality Check?

DSL Lite will make a strong finish. It is my understanding that the user will be able to install the modem, unlike cable. I live in Fresno, CA and I have been listening to those stupid "This is BroadBand, This is the Way" commercials on Television and Radio for over a year. I have given up calling and asking for deployment date for "BroadBand" - Cable Co. always says at least another year for deployment. Cable Co. does not have the manpower for rapid deployment. This is similar to ISDN where you have to call a serviceman come to your house. I would think that the phone companies should be able to underprice the cable companies pricing structure = savings on labor. There isn't enough labor for rapid deployment, house to house installation of cable. Remember 40 percent of America owns computers. That is a lot of houses!

P.S. Correct me if I am wrong!
