Scrapps, for my money the next modem technology will be Cable
Modem, not xDSL. Since it is available now in many areas and
is reasonable ($45/mo.) and faster, I believe it will
catch on. Rural areas do not have cable but will go with the
satellite dish once Web access gets cheaper. I am afraid xDSL
is too little, too late.

What do other thread members think?

IMHO the thread would benefit greatly if more focus were placed
on following the development of xDSL.
