More details on future MII's

Now I'm not sure how accurate these are but what if:

Cyrix Dumps 6x86MX For M-II

If Prince can do it, so can Cyrix. And in a move that would make the Purple One proud, Cyrix' Socket 7-based 6x86MX processors will now be known as M-II. And if that sounds vaguely familiar, it should--M-II was the internal development name of the 6x86MX.

It looks like May will be the target shipping date for the .25-micron 100MHz system-bus enabled M-IIs. Performance rating speeds will start at 300MHz, and will run up to 333MHz, with PR350 and PR400s by year's end.

But don't let those "Performance Ratings" fool you--the PR350 part will run internally at 300MHz, while the PR400 will run at 350MHz. The M II-300 is priced at $180 in 1,000 quantities, with $135 and $85 for CPUs with performance ratings of 266 and 233 respectively.
