<< The problem I have is, that the science presented to this board mostly comes wrapped within a rather strong flavor of hype. >> If posters, such as yourself, do not like "positive" hype, then it is in your right to post notes explaining why the hype is incorrect. You certainly couldn't prefer the repeated, ad nauseum, postings of negative comments every time LGND goes down 1/16th point?! << And that in my view, has by now become a serious problem, and is therefore detrimental to the stock. >> Could you explain why? Your statement implies that "positive" hype is bad for the LGND stock. Do you mean that every time investors get excited over a news bulletin, such as the one that said that Panretin beat the pants off of Tamoxifen, versus breast cancer, in ugly, naked mice, that it is a bad thing? Why? Would you rather have all negative posts? Would you just prefer to read tonyt predicting that LGND will never break thru $16, without qualifying his statement? Personal, I enjoy reading posts about LGND going to $100 per share. Targets, such as Walter's $20 by 20,000 notes, is fun and games. What the hell! Do we all think that Walter is going to hit his target right on the nuts? No. But, where there's hope, there's hope! And, where there is hope, there is hype! Good luck with your 3000 shares. Even though we disagree, I hope that you make a fortune from your investment. (What a nice guy, huh?) Good luck, Bob |
