Steve, re: OT - Internet performance Go ahead and brag! I am truly jealous... re, your work environment - Your setup is "typical", I think largely credit goes to Intel for pushing Ethernet so hard. Office nets in the U.S. are virtually transparent. I do lament what IT departments are doing with the new nets, namely making it where the user is powerless to control the workstation. Shades of the mainframe days. For Home my problem is that I am in the semi-country - outta town sort of. Cable stops five blocks away and my phone CO is some six miles distant. No cable modem :( and no xDSL :( :( Cry for me! Question - How responsive is your internet when clicking up new pages? Do you get varying delays based on net congestion? (Like I do)... Jeff
