TD shareholders to get 1.318 shares of the new bank, for each TD share. TD and CIBC both trading down on the news. I guess this is another example of buy on the rumor, sell on the news. I have to like the combined bank, however. What would be interesting, in my opinion, is for this new combined bank to get bought out by a non-Canadian bank, somewhere down the line. Does anyone know anything about CIBC? What operations do they have in US and outside of Canada?
