Jules,

Thanks for recognizing the significance of this issue, one that was overlooked by many. It is important to know if Kurlak was 7% off with his estimates or 17%. Does anybody know??? His research report doesn't say a damn thing about it.

Of course if he was 17% off that should be brought out and scrutinized because that would be an indication that this guy is way off base and he shouldn't have the power to move Intel's stock the way he does. However, time will tell if he's right about Intel not being able to grow revenues/earnings in the future.

I am personally betting against his philosophy. I am firmly in the
Chaplinsky/Edelstone camp. I am banking on Intel to be 90 + by the end of the year. I just sold some extra July 80 puts today. I really upped the ante because I have a lot of open positions already.

I know a lot of people don't like Edelstone because he really goofed on AMD, but he had his reasons. He thought they should have been able to make the K6 in quantity with good yields. He is not nearly as optimistic about them now. He admits he screwed that one up - listened to Jerry too much.

We will know soon enough if Kurlak is right about Intel. My money is not with him. I think when he is proven wrong (probably by the fall or maybe sooner) he won't wield as much power. We shall see.

I gotta run.

Regards,

Doug
