I think they will use them to raise more cash soon, not split their shares. Although they could do both......

If reality doesn't set in first, it'll be both - announced together. The split announcement would help support the stock so they can get the secondary done at a high price. I wonder if they could issue the new stock on a post split basis, making the split of existing shares effective on the offering date. That'd give them the most bang for their buck I think.

BTW, as I'm sure everyone here knows, they need the cash to pay off the $75mm debt and cancel the warrants (which are way in-the-money now). Of course, a secondary could also provide an outlet for some insiders to raise some cash for themselves, but I have a feeling they have some neat hedges in place already that allow them to access some of the value. I would.
