Pretend that you are managing Cymer, pretend that you know that earnings etc will be down on the next reporting date. Pretend that you also have the responsibility of purchasing $50 mill worth of stoc. Wouldn't it be smart to wait until the "bad/lower" business report were made public & the stock price was temporarily depressed-before making the stock purchases ? Just a thought- IF the news is gonna be bad. If the news is good- I hope they did their buying ! dowjoe
