V1, if the object is to free up some buying power I would suggest selling the lgnd and buy the lgndw. You would increase your volatility and risk (which I think is acceptable with Ligand) but still maintain your presence in the event of an move up. I think (but don't quote me) that selling the stock and buying the underlying warrants is not a taxable event. There has been considerable discussion on this tactic on the Ligand thread. Enter at your own risk and wear hipboots <g>.
