Robert,
There was about as much reason for the stock to go up 50% as go down 50%. Rational analysis fails when dealing with such a small float and only two market makers. All one can do is focus on the fundamentals, growth prospects, and excellent management, and hang on through the gyrations and manipulations.
The earnings for Daimler-Benz and DASA were published in IBD on the day I posted or a day earlier, on the page 1 or 2 of the news summary.
I would remind everyone that Mr. Trabelsi stated in his last conference call the RDL acquisition would be "accretive to earnings." If the deal is done, as it appears close to being, I believe it will have a positive effect on earnings results for the next quarter.
Note that, uppgraded today or yesterday, was Scientific Atlanta - up around $2 today. Aeroflex is around $13-14, up from around $8-9 recently.
Note to Zead: Although I don't like the PR channel being so silent either, I recognize this is a closely held company, and the pressure to "please" the investment community is not as great. So I would not read anything sinister into that silence, although it certainly is a risk factor to consider.
