shanzi_z.. I worked closely with the chairman of board of Exar at Xetel. Ray Conlinsk in on Xetel board too.
I was kept because I can make technology really improve the quality
of processes both mfg and business while drastically reducing cost and cycle time.
Both Kozo and conlinsk have worked as vendors to Compaq. They know that those systems can enable people to really manage business.
I was the I/S mgr. for Compaq for 10 years before I went to Xetel.
Research would happen to Xetel in 1994-95 and compare to 1993.
A marketing error cost Xetel in 1996 but 1997 is a strong year for Xetel.
Exar will have strong management team now ..this effects all the variables you asked about. know this conlinsk is a strong COB. He doesn't just fly in and then say it looks good and fly out.
But, overall I would rate conlinsk as very avg. when it comes to business. And, I think that the board would be better served to get a Ben Rosen or and John gribi.
you are very good at fundamentals... What I offered you was
intuaitve and personal knowledge of some of the key players.
Exar is going to have to get going on systems.....this company didn't even have a real LAN several years ago. This is dark ages for the systems needed in this industry.
Thanks for your model on atml..
Are there options on Exar??
