Robert,

It uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This is well accepted on the Internet as being secure and will be around for a long, long time. Every web browser now supports it.

You put personal checks in the US mail everyday. It's a LOT easier for someone to grab a check out of a mailbox and put it in their account than it is to hack into a bank on-line.

People access their accounts over touch-tone phone all the time, and there is NO encryption when you do that.

Trust me, this is WAY safer than telephones and the US mail. Is it full-proof? I don't think so (but many people do). There's always a guy trying to steal your money. Someone could just walk into a bank, claim to be you with a fake ID, take your money, and be gone. That's a lot easier also. And since NTBK has no banks to walk into...
