THE VALUATION:

i have received several requests for the valuation spreadsheet and have come to the following conclusions:

1) I will use a textbook method for performing the valuation. It will in fact be more comprehensive than you would expect and certain manipulations will be difficult, but possible ("plugs")

2) I will not perform a valuation on DGIV for anyone except myself. I am working on a valuation for DELL (in english) that can be used as a shell. anyone with a little finance knowledge and excel experience will be able to change it to DGIV.

3) i will place a buy/sell/hold recommendation on DGIV with a 12-month price target.

I am concerned from the message that i received that there may be some potential liability issues. i will not be using licensed intellectual property nor DGIV actual to state an opinion that could be interpreted as fact by a court of law.

My decision does the following:

1) along with a legal disclaimer, it protects me from my firm and from misrepresting DGIV's historical information and future expectations
2) allows each of you that understands finance to do and see the calculation for yourself. those who do not, should not be playing with it as misleading results may occur. those people should be comfortable with just a rating.
3) it allows me to place my liability to zilch.

Hope everyone is satisfied with this. If not, mail me privately with any sugestions. I have started the gruesome task of DELL already and hope to have it done buy the end of next week. Why DELL??? Why not?
