Oh, right Reggie. Is this one of Nathan Myrhvold's Nixon era dirty tricks?

I'm sure hackers will do new stuff with Netscape source, but how are they going to "fragment" standard functionality? If new stuff comes in that's worth propagating, it will be a lot easier to get it widely implemented in different hardware environments under Nav than under IE. Especially if what's new happens to conflict with some Microsoft business plan or other. As far as innovation goes, sounds like a lot more "open" game than anything Bill's got planned for us, but who knows?
