Eric,

I didn't know there was a problem with that product. The ER at our local hospital has been using it for at least a year (unless they have a new one out) . If someone pukes or there is a large spill of blood contaminant you put this product into the fluid and it hardens it. That way, when it is landfilled the solid product can't leech through the soil and into the the water table. The only problem I might see is if after landfilling the product is breaking down into another byproduct.
